Back from Further Confusion and now reality sets in — tax season.
While not a full time business, Wildgasmasks still operates as a legitimate business. Part of running such a company means the time has come for Uncle Sam and the state of California to collect taxes. So, for the next 2 weeks there will be no progress on orders, while we ensure we meet deadline and are compliant with all state and federal tax policies. Stego has been working long hours at his job but, when he gets home, he wont get to jackal. He will have to focus on taxes.
This might be unfortunate for all of you guys who are in our backlog or have been trying to get on our queue for this winter season. It is my hope you can wait just a bit longer…While you wait out the Tax Blackout, here is a gloved and leatherclad jackal…
Stego here, with a small update on what has been going on around here. Work has demanded a bit more hours out of me, and I have been (slowly) fighting a bit of a cold. I took some family time for my brother’s birthday but now the weekend has come and its time to get back on it. Processing of orders should go a bit faster now, including this weekend where I have shut myself up in the lab and wont come out until we can move items from MANUFACTURING into ASSEMBLY status.
For now, have some more available inventory….
Angled Hose Assembly – Our assembly combines two black angled hoses with one of our black wyes. An army green canister is also included. These assemblies are designed for our masks which feature 2 ports on the side (horses and jackals).
We dont always have these in stock but when we do, we want to let you guys know that we have them. In this case, we have just one set, so please contact us if you are interested. (update: 10/5/2015: sorry, this item is no longer available)
Wild N Free Inventory – Of course, we still have some masks available for immediate shipment. An HG2 and KG1 is available, alongside our experimental “Wild Gasmask”. This creation has been getting inquiries as this does feature a hood built into its modified shell and offers something different as far as encasement and airflow. We think this will become like the slipper that Cinderella wore, as it will be about finding the right fit (as well as aesthetic).
We hope you guys can continue being patient with us, while we continue to work towards bringing back some more sought-after creations.
Greetings! This is Stego breaking in with an impromptu FC announcement. We are currently packing the last of our luggage and getting ready for that driving trip up to the Bay Area. One advantage of driving up there (vs. flying) is that we are able to pack more and pack other items that we like to leave away from the clumsy hands of the TSA.
Within our luggage, we will be bringing a “small lab” of tools with us. This will allow us to address any simple repair jobs for people who have brought their masks to the convention. We will also have a small selection of lenses for those who may want something different for their mask’s “eyes”.
Wildgasmasks is also in the artshow! If you wish to get ahold of one of our standard masks, you can find these items in the art show : an HG2, a KG1, and a JG 1.5. The art show begins at 10am on Friday.
We look forward to meeting our friends at this convention and having a great time. meddle and I will be running around all convention long, so if you see us and need something, do not hesitate to flag us down. For those on Twitter, you can also reach us through my public Twitter account (@stego_s_aurus_p).
I just wanted to post and let folks know that due to a MASSIVE increase of undertakings at my 9-5, my Maskmaking is going to slow down a bit for the duration of the Winter: The company I work for is restructuring, and all the needed data and changes required from me by the new management are mostly relying on the information and abilities that sadly only I fully have access to; Mind you its not that I wanted it to be that way, rather thats the way it ended Up. Job security is Truly a double-edged sword at times…
Fortunately, thanks to Meddle Pony (a helpful rubberpony who lives close to the Jackal Lab) having successfully learned the craft, we Are able to continue some maskmaking: Otherwise we would have come to an almost complete stop as my 9-5 saps all my energy and creativity.
We’ve got one fully-custom commission that we are working on, and we will continue working on Simple orders for the time: Unfortunately, Hooded masks are considered “Custom” items as they require a custom fitting to the purchasers head and thus they take quite a bit of time to do; These we will only be able to do on an “As we are able to” basis, which will show up on the Orders page at wildgasmasks.com.
We still have plans on the table for several new Mask designs, which we are hoping to undertake through the course of the year as my leftover time and sanity allows.
We Do want to pass our thanks to all those whom have enjoyed the use of our handmade creations: Each is completely unique and no two are ever alike. There is a Gallery of owner-submitted photos which shows our masks in action: Browse and enjoy
