Further Confusion 2016: We Are In The Art Show

Stego departed from the mountain yesterday afternoon, ready for some furry fun. First trip of the new year, and the boys have worked hard enough to enjoy some fun for the convention weekend.  Stego arrived last night but rose early this morning (early for a convention anyway) and has gotten our items placed on the convention floor.  So, if you are looking to pick up something nice and squeaky, here is our inventory of items for this year’s art show…

  • JG-1 This item has soldWild Mask KG1 - Quarter View
  • Special Item : Wild Mask
A feline that allows you to breathe (and drink) easy. Wildgasmask products are usually designed around enclosure of some kind, but we never run out of alternative suggestions that might veer us away from the status quo. We created a hybrid of something that encases but that is less restrictive than our typical hoods. The hood was used to our advantage to keep the chin covered up from those who may be standing nearby. The area of exposed skin is minimal, leaving an opening just large enough to accommodate a straw and give the wearer a clearer breathing passage.  You can consider this a ‘wild mask’ (vs a ‘wild gasmask’). The internal components were not added to this mask,  but upon purchase, this mask will come with a set of our standard smoke lenses.

Stego will be around the convention til Sunday.  If you own one of our masks and have any light repair needs, we can help you. Please contact us through our Twitter account or through Stego’s public account@stego_s_aurus_p.  we have brought a compact collection of tools with us.  This will allow us to address any simple repair jobs for people who have brought their masks to the convention.

We look forward to seeing some of you again this year….

Sending 2015 Packing, Here’s Whats Next

The holiday months are always a slower time for us, as we spend time with family and our schedules change. With the slower workload in winter months, we often find it perfectly aligned with making changes for the next year.  Things were slightly different this time, but we still find ourselves working on some projects that have us revisiting some ideas.

We also have Further Confusion coming up. With our progress, we have a couple (if not a few) pieces for sale at Further Confusion’s Art Show. Expect us to post (or tweet) more detail as time draws closer.

Speaking of custom paint designs, there is a slight change towards how we deal with masks that have a custom paint design. After a few bumps in the road regarding custom painted orders this year, we realize the commitment that such a task entails. As such, custom paint designs will require a non-refundable deposit.

With this new year, people often think of significant change.  To Kat, there is no better time like the present to improve on yourself and create something new or forge a new path from your passions.  There are things all of us here in the lab can think of which we would like to bring forth but we always take these things one day at a time.  Instead, we are lead to appreciate all the experiences that our masks have become a part of.  With the last site updates of 2015 complete, check out the last year of Wildgasmask fun (Go to our full customer gallery to see more.)

Holidaze … “Gone Fishin”

As usual, the craziness is building in November with birthdays and other things. We know many of you are impatient and some have contacted us month after month trying to get on the queue.  Some of our slowdown was from meddle having to take time from the jackal lab and from full-time jobs leaving us with fewer hours each day. However, around this time, we do take time out for the holidays. This year, we will be doing something different… by taking a trip to New York City

It will be a week of no computers and visiting with family and friends .We might be able to check mail while there. In case we cannot, know that we might be delayed a week on responses.

No doubt that we will be missing the jackal lab something fierce by the time we get back.  The queue is looking quite empty for now, with us filling it back up once we can take the last of our backlog. I think we might finish that just as the New Year begins.

…See you guys in a week…

A Little More Availability

Stego here, with a small update on what has been going on around here.  Work has demanded a bit more hours out of me, and I have been (slowly) fighting a bit of a cold.  I took some family time for my brother’s birthday but now the weekend has come and its time to get back on it.  Processing of orders should go a bit faster now, including this weekend where I have shut myself up in the lab and wont come out until we can move items from MANUFACTURING into ASSEMBLY status.

For now, have some more available inventory….

Angled Hose Assembly –  Our assembly combines two black angled hoses with one of our black wyes. An army green canister is also included. These assemblies are designed for our masks which feature 2 ports on the side (horses and jackals).

Composite image showing Wildgasmasks' Angled Hose AssemblyWe dont always have these in stock but when we do, we want to let you guys know that we have them.  In this case, we have just one set, so please contact us if you are interested. (update: 10/5/2015: sorry, this item is no longer available)

Wild N Free Inventory – Of course, we still have some masks available for immediate shipment. An HG2 and KG1 is available, alongside our experimental “Wild Gasmask”.  This creation has been getting inquiries as this does feature a hood built into its modified shell and offers something different as far as encasement and airflow. We think this will become like the slipper that Cinderella wore, as it will be about finding the right fit (as well as aesthetic).

We hope you guys can continue being patient with us, while we continue to work towards bringing back some more sought-after creations.

We Are Catching Up, While the Horse Goes to Market – AUCTION UPDATE

Gasping for air (or rather, some time to sit down and write), we can now bring you a much-needed update. Lets knock that Further Confusion post further down the page while giving you a bit of insight into what has been happening with us.

Since returning from Califur, our team had to get back into the flow of our primary jobs. It has been demanding and our respective work schedules have put us out of synch with one another.  On the plus side, we do have some inventory left over from the convention, which is still available on our Wild and Free page.

Admittedly, we are not producing masks as quickly as we normally expect to (6-8 weeks for standard mask orders). As much as we regret the way our customers may feel about this, our Real Life obligations need to come first.   Fortunately, demand for our products has not diminished, and consequently the wait has grown to full expectancy. We continue to do our best to meet customers’ desires,  including answering emails from an ever-increasing amount of prospective customers.

Of note, if you like our horse masks and desire a hood, we have been made aware that our friend Spring Pony is selling her hooded mask.  Details can be seen after the jump.

The Road Trip to Further Confusion Begins

Greetings! This is Stego breaking in with an impromptu FC announcement.  We are currently packing the last of our luggage and getting ready for that driving trip up to the Bay Area.  One advantage of driving up there (vs. flying) is that we are able to pack more and pack other items that we like to leave away from the clumsy hands of the TSA.

Within our luggage, we will be bringing a “small lab” of tools with us.  This will allow us to address any simple repair jobs for people who have brought their masks to the convention.  We will also have a small selection of lenses for those who may want something different for their mask’s “eyes”.

Wildgasmasks is also in the artshow!  If you wish to get ahold of one of our standard masks, you can find these items in the art show : an HG2, a KG1, and a JG 1.5.  The art show begins at 10am on Friday.

We look forward to meeting our friends at this convention and having a great time.  meddle and I will be running around all convention long, so if you see us and need something, do not hesitate to flag us down.  For those on Twitter, you can also reach us through my public Twitter account (@stego_s_aurus_p).

Can’t wait!

Of Holidays and Hoods

Is it December already?

Man, time really did just pass by and I do not even feel like any of us even blinked. And yet, here we are facing the end of 2014. When autumn arrived, it seems that all three of us became really busy with our respective families and friends.  When November came, there was no shortage of birthday, Thanksgiving and anniversary celebrations for that month.  So, things got a bit hectic around here, with us having just a few opportunities to get together after work and brainstorm/toss some ideas around.

Such brainstorming has also been related to hooded masks, which we closed orders for back in August. When winter falls, and the temperature drops (well…by Southern California standards anyway), its harder to achieve the finished quality of each latex coat/pouring.  So, some of those moments of brainstorming and breaking out our supplies have been geared towards this popular option.   We have been re-tooling our hood making process, identifying some better materials to use when creating and sizing them.  This should eliminate some of the problems and other issues that made the process take that much more time for us to complete each hooded order.

Once the holiday season is over and our outdoor workshop is more suitable, we will be opening back up for the more complex orders. However, while you wait, hop on over to our Wild-and-Free listings to see some of our ready-to-ship products.  For those in the US, there is still just a little more time to grab one of these and get it to its destination in time for Christmas morning.

Our Masks Go on Many An Adventure (Kinkyponygirl)

Wild Gasmasks can be a portal to endless possibilities or a key component of a great journey. This is never more apparent than when we see updates from Kinky Pony Girl.

Anna Rose has been living out her pony dreams for a long time, and her husband Uwe has been capturing many of those moments for our enjoyment.  Even outside of ponyplay, the Alterpic website has shown a variety of encasement scenes and the use of gear that masks the wearer’s identity and/or deprives one of their senses.  Her constant desire to push her limits (and often for the enjoyment of her subscribers) brought her to our little place on the web.  In 2009, while shooting in California, Uwe took her for a romp on the beach in a full catsuit, our mask and hooves.  From appearances at fetish events around the world, to more hot sets, Kinky Pony girl continues to take a playful romp…with Uwe nearby to keep her on her toes. 🙂

For a while, Anna had a banner that rotated upon our old site*. However, I spoke to Mrs. Rose a few days ago about it and it turned out that she has just released another hot scene.  Here is a YouTube-friendly teaser, featuring pony boots, shiny latex uniforms and more:
